It was lovely to work on something different when this Harley Davidson Street Bob came in for a full colour change.
Originally black with orange accents on the tank, the customer had an idea of what he wanted the bike to look like, and that was Urban Green from the BMW Individual colour catalogue.
Given motorcycle tanks are often exposed to chemicals, namely petrol spills while filling, and they tend to see more wear and tear from jacket zips, creating lots of fine scratches. We locked in this epic paint with a VHS acrylic, giving a perfect high gloss finish, but with extra protection to withstand the day-to-day environment.
